2009 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships B Tournament

The 2009 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships B Tournament was opened yesterday in the city of Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Five teams are competing in Eindhoven not only for the gold medal, but the finalists will also participate in the qualification tournament for the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games. The competing teams include Estonia, Great Britain, Poland. Sweden and The Netherlands. In the first match, Great Britain beat The Netherlands 8-2. The second match of the day saw Sweden winning against Poland 3-1. The tournament continues this week with the finals being played on 21 March.
